Jenna Wren's customers leave her salon feeling physically and emotionally reborn, almost as if by magic— which is truer than they know. Like generations of Wren women before her, Jenna is a "hedge" witch. She channels the mysterious gifts of nature into empowering treatments in her salon. But even a flourishing business and two wonderful children can't keep her from feeling lonely and increasingly frustrated with her ex-husband, Jack.

Then one night, over a bottle of chardonnay, Jenna and her sister draft a recipe for the "perfect man." It's meant to be a joke...until eight-year-old Cassie uses it to test her own spellcasting powers. Cassie has only the best of intentions: a happy reunion for her parents, and a boyfriend for her aunt. But sometimes magic made in moonlight can go seriously awry— and Jenna may have to summon all of her powers of enchantment before she can truly follow her heart.

What people are saying...
I am absolutely astounded by SPELLSTRUCK. I have never been so enthralled or taken in by a book at the first page. The entire book is beautiful and left me feeling spellstruck... pun intended. This story is infused with so much of the feel-good qualities that I look for in a romance novel, that I wanted to go back and read it again once I had finished it. Jaclyn Reding does a beautiful job of giving her characters so much life and spirit and depth, that I couldn't help but fall in love with all of them. This woman and her wacky family and beautiful children and gorgeous ex husband will be added to my shelf of keepers, to be revisited over and over again.
Romance Reader At Heart

This is an amazing story of love and family. Ms. Reding tells a truly heartwarming story that will have you begging for more when you reach the last page. The Wren women will have a place in this reader's heart for a long time. Oh, and Jack, Jenna's ex-hubby, has reservered a spot in my fantasies!
The Romance Readers Connection

SPELLSTRUCK is a sweet, richly woven tale of small town prejudice, legends, history, and romance. The main characters are well developed, with a full background that is sympathetically drawn. The secondary characters are charming and likable and provide the story with good humor and a solid family foundation. Cassie gives the story an innocent voice filled with young hope and the guilt a child can feel when parents divorce. Jenna's romance grows slowly and is sincerely told, and the story flows well and builds to a satisfying conclusion. This is a charming tale and I recommend SPELLSTRUCK.

"The scenes between Flora and her children are endearing and demonstrate the close relationship she has with them. Reding does a wonderful job of developing each character, particularly Flora. She is both a caring and nurturing mother and a young, passionate lover. The end result is heartwarming.
Romantic Times Magazine

This is my first book by Jaclyn Reding. The second I finished the last page, I went searching for her backlist; it’s a rare treat to come across a writer I enjoy this much but have somehow managed to miss. THE SECOND CHANCE offers characters that are not too complex but are finely drawn, and a tale that is so probable as to border on mundane but is somehow still powerful and immensely moving, and all of this set against a backdrop so meticulously sketched that you can smell the sea and taste the scones...I can’t wait to get my hands on her other books.
The Romance Reader

In THE SECOND CHANCE, Jaclyn Reding creates an ensemble of characters who work together to create the story of two wounded people. Flora and Gavin have both suffered terrible loss and are incomplete, but together, each has strengths that complement the other. Angus is such a wonderful brother, giving advice and support to his sister, that he made me wish for such a brother. Flora’s children are also vital and important characters, and little Annie, her daughter, has a charm all her own. Ipswich-by-the-Sea seemed like a magical, charming place to go and start anew. I felt I was joining Flora as she converted an old family home to a bed-and-breakfast. Going with her as she outfitted the inn was like taking a small trip with her. Ms. Reding put the right amount of detail into her book without overwhelming me with Flora's and Gavin’s work. I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the Massachusetts shore and feel that other readers will as well.

What people are saying...
Although hundreds of years separate Reding's latest characters from their predecessors in the first two books of her Highland Heroes trilogy— The Pretender and The Adventurer—Reding similarly endows this new generation with courage, resourcefulness, and determination in a deliciously detailed story of an inheritance lost and found.
